High quality canvas pigment print on Breathing Color's archival certified Brilliance Chromata Canvas, coated with a museum grade UV varnish which protects and enhances the surface, giving the work the appearance of an original painting. Gallery wrapped on kiln dried pine stretcher bar, secured with galvanised staples and finished with framer's tape.


ABOUT THE CANVAS:

We only print on real canvas and use the superb Brilliance Chromata White from Breathing Color:


21 mil, 450gsm matte poly-cotton inkjet canvas. Archival Certified, OBA-free:
Chromata White Canvas is a textured 20.5 mil Bright White, consistent Poly Cotton Blend Matte Canvas using an acid-free, neutral pH coating. Unlike 99.9% of available inkjet canvas products on the market today (for giclee printing), this canvas utilizes a "Chromata White" optical brightener additive-free and Fluorescent Whitening agent-free breakthrough technology - providing a stable printing platform without the metamerism issues or color shift issues inherent on other canvases, which inevitably deteriorate and yellow over time.


Print Permanence Testing & Archivability Standards:
Extensive independent testing by a UKAS accredited laboratory has concluded that the Chromata White Canvas meets and exceeds the standards set forth by the Fine Art Trade Guild for pH and lightfastness. ABOUT THE SURFACE FINISH - UV COATING:

       

Our canvas prints are finished with a thick coating of UV fade resistant, crystal clear, museum grade giclee varnish, which helps to protect and enhance the surface of the canvas. As well as giving the finished piece a rich lustre similar to an original painting, the coating allows the work to be gently cleaned to remove dust and fly spots with a clean damp cloth (do NOT rub excessively).


ADDITIONAL FINISHING:

       

Our 'tight as a drum' canvasses are stretched by hand, secured with galvanised staples and finished with framer's tape to seal and protect the back of the work.


PRINT ONLY:

Most of our canvas prints can also be ordered unmounted - particularly suitable if transporting or sending overseas. As with our stretched canvasses, each print is made to order and coated with our UV fade resistant varnish. Prints also include cropping/sizing guides to help position the print if it is to be stretched over bars later.
